Measure the exposed part of the inner fork tube (from the bottom of the fork dust seal to the bottom of the triple clamp, or a consistent point near the axle—choose a clear reference point and use it for all measurements).

Measure Rider Sag: Sit on the bike in your normal riding position (feet on pegs). Have one helper balance the bike from the rear. The second helper should push down gently on the front end and let it rise slowly, then measure the same reference points.

Calculate Sag:

Target Sag: For a sport bike like the Hayabusa, a common starting target for street rider sag is usually around 25mm to 35mm (or about 1/4 to 1/3 of the total suspension travel). Check your manual for specific recommendations.

Adjust Preload:

If Sag is too high: Increase preload by turning the adjuster (usually a hex bolt or cap on the top of the fork tube) clockwise (in). This compresses the spring more, raising the front end and reducing sag.

If Sag is too low: Decrease preload by turning the adjuster counter-clockwise (out). This lessens spring compression, allowing the front end to drop more and increasing sag.

Re-Measure: Repeat steps after each adjustment until you are close to your target sag.

Adjusting Damping

Damping controls the speed at which the suspension compresses and extends. It is adjusted using “clickers” and is measured in “clicks out” from the fully tightened position.

Rebound Damping

Purpose: Controls the speed at which the fork extends after hitting a bump.

Softer Ride (Faster Rebound): Turn adjuster counter-clockwise (out) to decrease damping. This allows the fork to extend back faster, which can improve comfort over a series of quick bumps, but too fast can cause the bike to “pogo” or feel unstable.

Firmer Ride (Slower Rebound): Turn adjuster clockwise (in) to increase damping. This slows the extension of the fork, which improves control, especially during hard acceleration or after compression, but too slow can cause the suspension to “pack up” (not fully extend before the next bump), leading to a harsh ride.

Steps:

Locate Adjuster: Usually found on the top of the fork cap.

Find Baseline: Turn the adjuster all the way clockwise until it stops (don’t force it) and count the total number of clicks as you turn it out. Set it back to the factory/stock setting from your manual.

Test and Adjust: Ride the bike over a known test route. Adjust in increments of 1 to 2 clicks at a time.

Symptom: Front end bounces multiple times after a bump (pogoing): Increase rebound damping (turn in).

Symptom: Harsh ride, front wheel “packing up” or feeling like it won’t track the ground over a series of bumps: Decrease rebound damping (turn out).

Compression Damping

Purpose: Controls the speed at which the fork compresses into a bump or under braking.

Softer Ride (Less Compression Damping): Turn adjuster counter-clockwise (out) to decrease damping. This allows the fork to compress more easily, resulting in a plusher ride over small bumps, but too little can cause excessive dive under braking or bottoming out.

Firmer Ride (More Compression Damping): Turn adjuster clockwise (in) to increase damping. This makes the suspension stiffer and more resistant to compression, improving control during hard cornering and braking, but too much leads to a harsh ride that can transmit every small bump.

Steps:

Locate Adjuster: Often found on the bottom of the fork leg near the axle.

Find Baseline: Turn the adjuster all the way clockwise until it stops and count the total number of clicks as you turn it out. Set it back to the factory/stock setting.

How To Adjust the Boost on a Supercharger

To adjust the boost on a TTS supercharger, you typically change the size of the supercharger's pulley; a smaller pulley increases boost by spinning the supercharger faster, while a larger pulley decreases it. For some TTS systems, adjustments may be made through a variable boost control dial or by changing the size of the crank pulley instead of the supercharger's pulley.

Pulley size adjustment

Smaller supercharger pulley: Installing a smaller pulley on the supercharger will increase boost pressure because the supercharger will spin faster for every rotation of the engine's crankshaft.

Larger supercharger pulley: A larger pulley will decrease boost pressure, as it spins slower for each engine crankshaft rotation.

Changing the crank pulley: An alternative to changing the supercharger pulley is to swap the crank pulley. A larger crank pulley will also increase boost, while a smaller one will decrease it. However, this method can affect other components driven by the crank pulley, so it requires careful consideration.

Boost Sensor for Supercharger

A boost sensor is often included in a TTS supercharger kit, or is a necessary component for its installation to monitor and control boost pressure. The sensor is crucial for the engine's control system and may be a part of the kit to ensure proper performance and engine safety.

Function: A boost pressure sensor measures the pressure in the engine's intake manifold, which is generated by the supercharger. This data is used by the engine's computer to manage the amount of boost being produced, which affects air pressure and fuel delivery.

Necessity: While the supercharger itself provides the boost, a sensor is needed to make sure it doesn't exceed safe limits and to fine-tune the engine's performance.

Kit contents: Check the specific TTS supercharger kit for the vehicle you have, as the sensor and other necessary components (like gauges or other sensors) can vary between applications.

A boost sensor to read the supercharger's output. This is the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, which is crucial for the engine's computer (ECU or PCM) to monitor and control boost levels for optimal performance and fuel mixture. You can use an aftermarket gauge, such as a P3 gauge, to display this information.

How it works

The MAP sensor is located between the supercharger and the engine, typically in the intercooler or intake pipe.

It measures the pressure of the compressed air coming from the supercharger.

This data is sent to the engine's computer, which uses it to calculate and adjust the air-fuel ratio.

How to see the boost reading

Use a scan tool or OBD-II gauge: A standard OBD-II scan tool or a dedicated boost gauge that connects to the OBD-II port can read the boost pressure from the vehicle's factory MAP sensor.

Install an aftermarket gauge: Many aftermarket gauges, like the P3 gauge, can display boost pressure by reading data directly from the vehicle's sensors or the ECU.

At Circuit of the Americas, the factory rider clinched the 2025 championship with the same composure and speed that have defined his entire season. From Daytona to Mid-Ohio, Wyman and his factory prepped Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® set the pace, stacking wins and podiums until the points gap became insurmountable. He rolled into Texas needing only three points to secure the title, a position earned through months of dominance.

NEW CHAMP IN TOWN

James Rispoli has done what few thought possible. Riding the KWR prepped Harley-Davidson® Pan America® ST, the multi-discipline veteran stormed to victory at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, securing not just the race win but his first-ever Mission® Super Hooligan® National Championship powered by Harley-Davidson. Motorcycle Insurance SCAM | MONOPOLY - Has to STOP!

Motorcycle Riding IS Expensive: Here's Why!

Insurance MONOPOLY.

v 2025 has been a rough year for the motorcycle industry. But why? It has been said that bikes are too pricey. That dealers charge too much. Used bikes are now out of reach and not great buys.

A LOT HAS BEEN SAID.

But what has NOT been said is the cost to use those motorcycles and particularly in Ontario Canada. Ontario has the absolute highest insurance fees in North America without exception. What it costs riders in other places for a year, for some riders this is the cost for one month.

In some cases for some motorcycles, the insurance company won't even insure those motorcycles.

This is the reason young motorcycle riders that have passed their motorcycle tests are forced to ride without insurance. This is really bad. But with the costs that could be $8,000 per year, what choice do they have? They have a right to ride a motorcycle in Canada.

The ALTERNATIVE for not having insurance is that if you get caught its a min. $5000 to $20,000 fine. So now you have a rebel group of riders that have no choice but to outrun police because no insurance and no money to pay for the crazy insurance fees.

BUT THE PROBLEM, is the way it is setup... for failure! Or to say, sorry but you can not ride that bike, you are too young, despite passing any tests. -- ON THE OTHER HAND... "INSURANCE COMPANIES" are running a mob-like system where they can charge whatever they want with no accountability. NONE!

Additionally, in Canada you have to buy motorcycle insurance for a entire year only. Also if you have several bikes you need to insurance each and every one at full rate. There is NO STORAGE rate or simply Fire & Theft... NO, just full coverage and thats it!

ONTARIO INSURANCE: No other place in the world has this kind of MONOPOLY on insurance!

Look at this example:

You lose your job and now have a problem paying the mortgage or rent. So you TRY to cancel your motorcycle insurance. But they want the rest of the one year term paid in full. Or they have a one or two month penalty for cancellation. This a a problem with no income. But now you think could I just get fire and theft in case it is stolen? No, because there is no reduced rate for putting your bike in storage. So now maybe you have to sell your motorcycle? OK, so now you have your motorcycle in your garage without insurance. And now to add insult to injury, the Dept of Transport sends you a letter saying you have to get insurance or take the plate off and when you do that you will need to get another "safety inspection" on the bike. And they are not easy.

So for Ontario, its not that motorcycles are expensive and that is why there is a decline on gas engine motorcycles, its because of the UNCHECKED INSURANCE MONOPOLY.

Are you starting to see more electric bikes? As long as they have peddles, license plates are not required and insurance is not needed. And creative riders are modify the electric output. While not a great example this only shows the irony of riding two wheeled bikes in Ontario.

RIDING WITHOUT INSURANCE.

Yes it is costly as we have pointed out, but did you know this. It used to be that only OPP could scan you plates from their vehicle and get your driving record and whether you have insurance. NOW all GTA police can do this and its that simple to get caught. An unmarked car behind you with a scanner telling the officer your record and if you have insurance. This is new, and it changes everything.

POLICE POWER:

In Ontario, when police conduct a vehicle check, they can access certain information about the vehicle and driver. They can verify the vehicle's registration, insurance status, and whether it's been involved in any infractions. They can also check the driver's license and potentially other details related to the driver, like their driving record.

Here's a more detailed breakdown: Information Police Can Access: Vehicle Information: This includes the vehicle's registration, including the registered owner and any associated information. Insurance Status: Police can verify if the vehicle has valid insurance coverage. Driver's License: They can check if the driver has a valid license and if there are any restrictions or endorsements. Driving Record: In some cases, they may be able to access information about the driver's history, like previous traffic violations. Potential Criminal Activity: If there are reasonable grounds to suspect criminal activity, police may have additional authority to search the vehicle, but this is subject to legal restrictions.

SUMMARY:

1. You can not ride without insurance. You will get caught and the fine is over the top outrageous. Outrunning is more expensive, more dangerous and more unlikely for success.

2. Ontario insurance companies have a MOB LIKE MONOPOLY on insurance rates. We have to fight this by sending letters to Doug Ford and our MP's

3. If you can't afford outrageous insurance rates, ride an electric bike with peddles. No license. No insurance required. Some ebikes and even scooters can go up to 80kph.

4. FREEDOM at this stage of the game in the Insurance Monopoly has dried up, but the hope is that more people will write letters and make calls to our Premier, MPs and Mayors to make the change we need.

5. You would think that forward planners would think that durring the travelling months of summer, rather than having more cars on the road, maybe the motorcycle alternative might be helpful. A point of moving forward. but this is not happening. Why? Is the insurance MONOPOLY that powerful that they have that much power over elected officials. OR is it elected officials don't ride motorcycles so they do not know. We have to let them know.
